Sarah Benjamin is an Associate Attorney at Hamelburg Law where she focuses on business law matters, commercial real estate and litigation, and estate planning. Sarah is a native of Miami, Florida but is now a proud resident of the District of Columbia.
Sarah helps entrepreneurs launch businesses by providing essential legal services such as registering entities, obtaining Employer Identification Numbers, and drafting key foundational documents. She evaluates and researches legal trends that affect businesses in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia, such as limitations on the use of non-compete agreements and incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems and policies. Sarah’s commitment to continuous learning drives her work and informs her approach to client representation.
Sarah applies meticulous attention to detail in drafting not only business documents for clients, but also with their estate planning documents. She assists in the probate process and is adept at transferring real property through creating and recording deeds.
Sarah was recently admitted to the Washington, D.C. Bar and is in the process of obtaining her Maryland Bar admittance. Sarah graduated from American University Washington College of Law, where she was on the Staff of American University’s Business Law Review and where she developed her knowledge in contract drafting, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
